Necron vs 13th Co 1500pts – 1st Nov 2008

Had a game on sat 1st Nov against Ralph’s 13th Co. It has been a very long time since both of us met on the battle field.

Game: Seize ground (03 objectives). 01 placed in middle while other 02 placed on opposite corner.
Deployment: Spearhead
13Co: 02 squds of slayers are deployed around the middle of his deployment square. 01 slayer at the 12″ line to the center. 02 longfangs are at the 12″ line too. Bikes are deployed all the way behind.
Necron: Deceiver at the 12″ line from the center of board. Immortals and Pariahs form a phalanx about 5″ behind Deceiver. 01 Warrior squad form up behind the immortals/pariahs. 01 warrior holding home objective in ruins.

The game
With the scout moves and 1st turn, 13 Co moved into center and take up favorable position of high ground. Combine fire of immortals and pariahs delievered around 15 armor saves a turn, wiping out LongFangs by game turn 2.

Deceiver charged and bounced reaching the back line squad at game turn 4 effectively contesting the objective. Along the way, he ate quite a number and obviously has some fun. Although he is hitting on 3s and wound on 2s, per player turn he only kills around 2 on average. Sigh.

Bikes wandered around quite aimlessly throughout the game. Once they were shot, they quickly got out of firing range.

Rune priest gate a slayer squad in the middle at turn 2. Got charged by Deceiver and killed him off. Deceiver bounced off and head towards the backlines. Following turn 4, assaulted pariahs and wipe them out.

Flayed Ones outflank in at turn 4, assaulted the 3rd slayer squad and got pounded in 02 combat turns. Pfist marines with 5 attacks is no joke.
